I'm kicking off 30 minutes a day

I realized why I need this blog.
The good: I went back to the gym and I feel great
The bad: I'm not as fast as I was 6 months ago
The ugly: "Mmmmm Bop" is number 18 of 25 on my 'top played' ipod songs. Yes, I have Hanson on my ipod. And apparently I like to play it.

I like to exercise. I love the gym. I like classes.  So why do I feel I 'deserve' to lie on my couch or sleep in.  I'm up, I've gotten out of bed to hit snooze upwards of 10 times.

I realize not exercising is a 'habit' I've developed.  And to break it, I need to make my struggles (and embarassing itunes moments) public. I need a gym buddy, virtual or not.  My friend is going to text me in the mornings when I'm working to make sure my butt is out of  bed.  And she won't be nice about it when it's not.  She's a good friend.

I was determined to do this. I got home, turned on my computer, and it wouldn't boot.  It's in the shop.  So my posts may be a day or two late, but they'll come up.

1/18/11 workout: 40 minutes on 'random' on the elliptical.  4 miles. 450 calories burned. 20 situps. Not a workout that made me beg for mercy, but it's a start!
